SaaS Insights syncs data with Shopify roughly every 1 hour.
From time to time this can vary as we make fine adjustments as we strive to optimise and minimise the delay in your latest data being made available.
Typically when a delay offurs it’s due to one or more of the following:
- Shopify API limitations which slow down how much data we can ingest at once.
- Many new users signing up at once. Understandably we attempt to fetch new users information when they sign up, should we have an influx of new users within a short period, existing account syncronisations can be delayed. We’ve engineered the system to be resilient meaning once this initial influx has been handled, the normal syncronisation period will be restored.
- Updates to the SaaS Insights application. Generally updates result in no impact to service however should a service degradation event occur we’ll be sure to publish a notification to our X account.
How long does it take to import my Shopify Partner data to SaaS Insights?
How long it takes to import your applications data depends on how much data your application has. In general, for small applications it takes around 45 minutes. For larger applications which it can take many hours.
The good news is that subsequent data imports, usually processed hourly, only ingest data for recent events meaning they’re much faster.
Shopify restricts the rate at which third-parties are permitted to ingest data. As much as we’d love to, we’re unable to increase this rate. This means we cannot speed up the ingest process.
